Sinopsis

George Plimpton got a job playing one of the bad guys in the Howard Hawks-directed John Wayne Western "Rio Lobo." In this special we see him talking to Hawks about whether he'll be killed off or not, to Wayne about how to cultivate a special walk to make oneself a star in movies and to himself as he attempts to rehearse his tiny part and while doing so is caught in the frame of a setup for another scene and chastised by Wayne. Wayne calls Plimpton "Pimpleton" throughout this special.

¡Me encantó Plimpton! Shoot-Out at Rio Lobo! No me lo esperaba tan buena. George Plimpton lo da todo en pantalla y se nota la mano de William Kronick en cada plano. Si te gusta el cine, es un must de (1970).

Plimpton! Shoot-Out at Rio Lobo es de esas pelis que te enganchan desde el minuto uno. Buena historia, personajes creíbles y momentos que te dejan pensando. William Kronick ha hecho un trabajo brutal, y eso se nota.

No suelo ver mucho cine, pero con Plimpton! Shoot-Out at Rio Lobo hice una excepción… ¡y qué bien hice! El papel de George Plimpton es lo mejor de la peli. La recomiendo a ojos cerrados.
